    Once you pass the combine you are told you are funded and you get a certificate, but you are not really funded. You have to pass another challenge before you are eligible to even begin to earn actual money. You have to have 5 days of profits with trailing draw down. If you pass this 2nd challenge you start back at zero. Not what I thought I was signing up for. I understand they need traders to blow accounts, but they make it seem like all you have to do is pass the combine but in fact you have to pass 2 challenges. I will be moving on and taking my business elsewhere.

    Great firm with excellent rules. Most prop firms put rules in place to make you fail whereas TopStep feels like they want you to succeed. Very fair pricing too and the TopStepX platform is genuinely one of the best ive ever used, the functionality is 10/10

    Best prop firm on the market by far. Easy parameters to follow. Great charting platform for free. The company is very helpful if you have any questions their virtual assistant has the answer. I couldn’t be happier with this company. Passed the combine in three days and already on my express account. This is where it’s at if you want to trade for a proprietary firm.

    Had an issue with my express funded challenge where they miscalculated my profit for the day. I tried contacting someone through the ai (windy), but was unsuccessful. There was no option to even request to IM human support and the ai was useless and was only giving universal answers. I spend around 2hrs trying to find a way to contact someone but it was impossible. If they are running a business and taking people money they should at least be available to offer customer support.

    I had a horrible experience with Topstep. They promised me a payout but never actually paid. After waiting and getting no clear answers, I ended up blowing my account due to their lack of real support. Their customer service is practically nonexistent—no real assistance when you need it, and their reset system is a joke. Feels like a complete scam designed to keep you paying fees rather than actually helping traders succeed. I would not recommend this to anyone serious about trading. Stay away!

    I’ve traded on a few different platforms, and the experiences I’ve had were horrible! Soon as I was put on to top step, it was a huge game changer for me. The resources available and the support offered are second to none! Top Step live is the only way to start my trading day! I absolutely love trading on top step X! The consistency rule is extremely favorable , the trading combine is very straightforward and definitely a pro trader set up, vs the other platforms that are way more pro institution. Top Step encourages growth and has the tools and support available to give anyone a boost.

    They have a very expensive system. Their evaluation is cheap at first glance but then when you pass the combine you have to pay to get the funded account. Their 50k account is expensive when you add everything up it costs around 200 dollars. I will not be using them for this reason.

    There’s multiple issues regarding to the topstepx’s own platform. Support can’t do anything, the issues of glitching and order not being filled into market either stop loss or set profit. The likely hood of this happening might be low, but it can happened as it did to me. The funded accounts got blown, while providing evidence of this issues happening the respond I got is they would put it on you or just simply say they can’t do anything about it. Platform definitely needs a lot of work to be done either back-end engineering or customer support.

    They have been around the longest in the “funded trading” space (I do not know why they call themselves a prop firm, that’s not what this is)I will start this by saying that if I could go back in time, I would have never bought an account with this company. It has done nothing to help improve trading habits, and in fact has made them all significantly worse. This goes for any and all of these types of companies. They offer high leverage in a tiny account to entice you, but the structure is more similar to online gambling than a professional trading firm. This leads to erratic risk taking, and the low cost per evaluation makes it easy to spin the wheel over and over again. It’s created almost a gambling addiction-like problem for me that has taken awhile to break. And even when a payout is available, they string it along. It should never, ever take a firm more than an hour or two to process a payout request. This particular one takes the longest, but they claim it’s because they do it manually….In reality it’s this way because they are hoping you blow the account before they have to pay up. They do a good job of making things right when they mess up, but compared to peers they are very slow to respond as well as pay out. The reason for my low review, is because I don’t believe they truly believe what they preach. There is nothing about their program that will help you as a trader or enforce better habits….To be honest it actually does quite the opposite. If they were actually interested in helping new or existing traders, they wouldn’t allow the amount of leverage on small accounts that they do. They wouldn’t have hurdles like “5 $200 days” in the way of payouts…Among many others.They started off great and it did seem like they were the place to go but I believe the emergence of Apex and other discount firms got in their head a bit, and now they’re not much better than any of them. I have had them make me wait two weeks for a payout without it ever coming out of my account. This is a tactic many places use, in hopes of you blowing your account before it can be done….Keep in mind they are paying out for sim trading so there is a strong incentive for that to happen. Their version of ProjectX has random issues with data freezing or charts slowing down when it is running completely fine with other firms. There are many other problems/red flags I have seen with them but having experienced what a real prop is like, my advice is to stay as far away from companies like this as you can. If just gaming funding companies is what you are looking for, then this is probably the way to go. But if you are actually interested in becoming a professional trader there are far better options.
